This foam back rest, made by Perception, is designed to fit the contour of the seat backs of Perception Sit on Top kayaks, extending the height of the seat back. The seatback is secured by a webbing fitting system that is attached to a forward accessory attachment point on either side in front of the paddler. There is a clip in this webbing system to allow the seat back to be removed for transportion. The back of the seat is held upright when you are not paddling by two rings of bungie on the back of the seat again secured by a webbing strap that has a quick release buckle on it, to allow removal for transportation.
The seat base/pad, made of 12mm PE 45 foam, has an adhesive layer to permanently glue the seat in place. It is shaped to allow the drainage holes to still remove water from the seat as required.
While we can get the multicoloured backrest pictured here, most people prefer the black ones, so these are what we stock.
