The Canoesports Speedwing paddle is a highly efficient, lightweight injection moulded Wing paddle at an affordable price. Suitable for performance touring, and multisport is is also recomended for situations where you may need to break through surf - such as surf ski - or your paddle may experience a lot of impact.
Shape: incorporates a full shape and top curve that produces high drag and high lift for exceptional speed.
The quicklok model of any of our paddles allows the paddler to adjust the paddle's length by eight cm (there are ten marked on the shaft, but we recommend only using the first 8 to be sure there is sufficient spigot inside the paddle to be strong), and to any angle desired. This is especially beneficial for the beginner whose paddling technique is still developing, or those who are unsure what length or angle to purchase a fixed paddle, or for those who are paddling in a number of conditions or using different kayaks and need to adjust the paddle to fit the conditions/gear used at any given time.
We recommend a standard 208-216cm adjustable speedwing paddle. The range of 208-216 covers a wide range of paddler heights and a range of kayak styles. It also allows others to use your paddle, helping with those sharing gear, or wanting to sell it on when they are ready to upgrade to a full carbon paddle.
Note: In 2007 these paddles were rebranded from 'Canoe sports' to 'Carlisle', the name they have always used internationally
