The Splash Paddle is the most basic paddle in our range - but its simplicity is the key to its sucess. It is designed to be used on family sit on tops such as the Mission Squirt and the Mission Flow and is perfectly designed for this use.
The Splash blade is small enough for young kids as little as four years old to push and pull through the water with ease. It is also large enough to have sufficient force when used by an adult on flat water or in surf to have full control of the kayak.
The shaft is a slightly smaller diameter than most other paddles, allowing small hands to be able to hold onto the paddle. There is no key on the shaft as this would make it thicker just where little hands need to hold on and have control.
Even the length has had thought behind it. At 208cm, it is long enough for kids to reach the water on each side of their kayak from their low position. It is also short enough for adults to paddle easily in a straight line on flat water and be able to get from one side to the other quickly in the surf. This paddle only comes in one basic length and angle (60 degrees) making decisions easy when they are used with small recreational sit on top kayaks.
After market drip rings may be added for those wishing to use Splash Paddles with shorter sit-in kayaks such as the .
