The Mission Kayaks "Contour" line is a family of stable kayaks suitable for true beginners through intermediate/advanced sea kayak paddlers.
The 450 is the smallest of the group for people who are either of smaller stature, or who prefer to have a smaller kayak for easy of carrying, storing and turning. With both front and rear bulkheads, the Contour 450 is a seakayak ready to take you out on the open ocean for day paddles or overnight touring trips alike.
The hatches into the roomy storage areas are wonderfully large themselves, making it easy to get large items such as camping gear, spare paddles or trolleys into the storage areas. Plastic covers protect the neoprene waterproofing cover, so even in the largest following seas you won't ever have to worry about your hatches.
Contour 450 is highly manoeuvrable and easy to handle. Beginners will enjoy the channelled hull design that provides outstanding tracking - keeping you on course throughout extended trips. Advanced paddlers will like the responsiveness when the kayak is put on its edge - it turns very quickly. It's upswept, flared bow makes it easy to cross through waves, and the rudder that comes standard with this model will make paddling in wind a breeze.
With generous storage capacity, the Contour 450 is an outstanding weekend or day-tripping kayak that features a moulded seat, dual foam bulkhead flotation, bow and stern grab handles, and lots of room and comfort for long days of paddling or short sprints alike.
