The Paddling Perfection Polar Bear sea kayak is a fast, stable kayak with heaps of storage. This boat has unequalled rough water capabilities due to the unique v-bottom hull design. The Polar Bear was designed for a 42 day Antarctic expedition, which was led by Graham Charles. The superior stability was needed to stand and search for leads in the ice pack.
Three main storage compartments and large cockpit. This boat has primarily been designed for the serious Touring expedition sea kayker.
The perfect kayak for when you absolutely have to take all your gear and need something big, fast and stable
Listed weight is for the kevlar version of this kayak
Colours: Upon ordering we'll send you an email with your options - if there are any in stock, we'll let you know their colours. Otherwise, you may have one made for you in 6-8 weeks. Colours for this later option are: Red, Orange, Golden Yellow, Canary Yellow, Rainforest Green, Royal Blue, Black and White. Choose two of these colours for the blend on the deck - hulls are white. The most common combinations are Red-Yellow, Orange-Yellow, and Red-Orange. Other colours are available for $75 per colour - please provide a colour sample for accuracy. Typically, the joining lines are your lower deck colour choice, and cockpit rim colour is your choice of the top of the deck. The aluminium oxide wear strip is beneath the white gelcoat of the hull - while you can't see it from the outside, you'd need a diamond disk sander to remove it - this durability will help your kayak last for many, many years.
