The Ocean Kayak Torque is unlike any kayak you have seen on the market.
The Torque features a Minn Kota trolling motor which provides infinitely variable speed. You can easily hit the perfect pace for trolling, and if that wasn't enough, this quiet motor also has reverse capability to allow you to easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.
Not in the mood to motor around? The motor can easily be removed for transport or swapped out, even on the water, with a skeg plug.

"How important is the battery selection for the electric motor usage?"
The battery is a critical element of your electric motor system. A high-quality deep cycle marine battery should always be used. Unlike automobile batteries, deep cycle marine batteries are designed to be drawn down to a discharged state and then recharged. (To extend the life of your battery, always recharge after use. Most deep cycle marine batteries fail due to lack of proper maintenance.)
We recommend using a sealed 12 volt group 24 deep cycle battery with a minimum 85 amp hour rating. A group 24 is the largest size battery that can be used with the Torque kayak.
We have a demo unit of the Ocean Kayak Torque. Rent it out - along with any others you wish to try - and whichever kayak you decide to buy we will take your rentals off the purchase price ( some conditions apply, cleaning fees and long term hires not included in this offer ).
