The Prowler Elite 4.5 has all the best features of the Prowler Line of Ocean Kayak Fishing Kayaks, and then added some more. As well as the speed, stability, and all round performance that the market has come to expect from the Prowler range, this kayak was the first of the kiwi modified Prowlers to have a transducer scupper hole. This greatly simplifies the installation (and performance) of fish-finder transducers, which until now was an area fraught with problems. There is also a transducer boot that may be purchased (it is part of the FFR kit mentioned below) to fit the 700 series of Humminbird fish finders to perfectly fit the area of the transducer scupper hole.

Like all other Ocean Kayaks, this boat uses the 100% waterproof ‘insert’ system, preventing any leaks to the inside of the kayak through the fittings and assuring that no gear or drybags placed inside has to face sharp internal fittings.

At 4.5m this kayak has the waterline length to deliver good speed, ideal for going longer distances easily. Although designed specifically as a fishing kayak, with plenty of below deck storage and smooth bottom for slick gliding along the water's surface, this kayak is an alternative to the traditional sit-in sea kayak for touring and expedition paddlers.

Optional extras include a upgraded seat (it comes with a basic seat), specialized Fish Finder Ready Kit for Humminbird Fishfinders (the FFR), and general fishing parts.
