When our son turned six months old, we purchased the extra kid's gear we needed to take him out on the water with us: a Perception Flow Kayak and a Guardian Life Jacket, and this Hydrosilk sun shirt.
Finding a shirt that didn't have cotton in it, to be sure he was warm but not too hot, and still protected from the sun was a difficult one, until we found that NRS made our sun shirts in a size small enough for him. The silky feel of this sun top makes it a joy to put on him.
The shirt is too big for him at this point - we just roll up the arms less and less each time we put it on. Sun shirts can be too big and still do their job very well. He loves kayaking - first watching the birds, and then napping to the gentle rocking of the kayak. It is nice to know that by the time he grows out of this shirt he'll be paddling a Fluid Vaya!
