This the latest Immersion Research skirt, this updated skirt features a new “fin” style rand designed to create an effective water barrier on even the most challenging rims, an improved high-viz grab handle, and a general overhaul of the skirt fit-range to encompass the new generation of wider cockpit rims.
Like all rand-style skirts, this model tends to be harder to get on a rim than a bungee skirt, but is the top choice for kayakers concerned with skirt implosion, and who want the most durable gear.
If you have a recent design Jackson with an unusual size of cockpit then do the following to work out which size you need. There's no harm in doing it if you have any other model of kayak either - it'll guarantee the perfect fit.
1) measure the circumference of your rim - length and width measurements alone will not guarantee a good fit with a rand skirt.
2) Large cockpit: 85″ circumference. XL cockpit: 90″ circumference. XXL 98″ circumference.
