Mission Kayaking Sit on Top Thigh braces are a cost effective solution to gaining control of your sit on top kayak. They are a foam based thighbrace covered in a soft vinyl material for added strength.
These are a must in the surf, as you gain the control of a sit in kayak, allowing you to use your knees to manoeuvre. The control these add is so complete that those of you who know how to roll can do so in your sit on top kayaks with these leg straps. This provides considerably more confidence while playing in the rollers.
For those who are new in the surf, please note that it is important to wear a helmet when kayak surfing - knocks on the head from your kayak can hurt without them. I have included the best surf helmet in the related items at the bottom of this page - good ear and head protection.
Thigh straps are also very useful when paddling with a kid, as you have more control over the stability of the kayak saving your hands for pointing out cool things to look at on shore.
The simple webbing strap connection system is simple to install on any brand of sit on top kayak with attachment points. (If you don't have attachment points, then add them using Saddlebacks with Rivets - Deck Line Arches).
